Printmaking Final

1.     Describe the overall composition of your artwork (balance, unity, rhythm and movement).

I think the overall compostition of the artwork is good.  I think that it is balanced very well (you can see the texture).  It flows wells.

2.     How did you add texture and contrast to your print? Is this important? Why?

I added texture by cutting out the details and what makes the texture I cut out.  I added contrast by not having the images merg together.  There is something that separates every image.

3.     Explain how you used positive and negative space to show your image.

I used the positive and negative space by cutting out the characteristic of the artwork.

4.     Describe the craftsmanship of your print. (How good the project is technically crafted)

I believe that the craftmanship is good.  There could have been some cleaner cut lines.

5.     Were you able to achieve depth by showing a foreground, middle ground, and back- ground? Explain.

I believe that I showed depth.  You can tell where the foreground, middle ground and, back-ground is.

6.     Explain your experience with Printmaking. What were the obstacles and advantages?

Print Making

1. Why is texture so important to have in your sketches?
Texture is so imprtant in this project because you need to be able to make the picture come alive.  Without texture it's hard to defind what the animal or background is.

2. Why is it neccessary for you to have several references of each animal and each background? Explain.
It is neccessary to have so many references because you may be able to get details of each one to really show what the animal is like.  You need many references of backgrounds to be able to decide which one will make your art the most realistic.

3. When you look at your sketches are you able to see which sketch is the strongest and will make the best print? How do you know this?
When I look at the sketches I can tell which one will make the best print.  The iguana, to me, will be the best because it has the most texture in it.

Interactive Chalk Mural

1. Explain your experience working on a team and executing your ideas for the mural.
The team was great, but it was hard for everyone to be able to work on something all at once.  Others in the group didn't contribute as much as others, but it worked out.  The idea process was good, everyone contributed and I think it turned out well.

2. Explain the importance of collaboration when working on a team.
It was important that everyone collaborated because the peice would have taken a lot longer without it.  When everyone collaborates the peice of art will be something we are all proud of.

3.  How successful was this project? Explain how and why.
The project was successful to the point of the final outcome.  It would have been even more successful if everbody pitched in and helped, but you can't control what others do.

4. Explain how you feel about creating artwork that others can interact with. Ex. Invoving the whole school?
I think that envolving people with the art makes the art come alive.  It's one thing to have people observe the art, but it's another thing if they can interact with it.
